Dr Linh Truong graduated from Griffith University in 2009, with an Award for Academic Excellence as well as the Award for Clinical Excellence in Endodontics. She enjoys all aspects of family dentistry, especially in building long-term relationships and strives to provide the highest quality of care on a personal level. Her special interests are preventative and cosmetic dentistry including teeth whitening and composite veneers, endodontics, children’s dentistry and aged care. She also specialises in treating anxious patients and is dedicated to making every individual feel at ease and comfortable.
Born and raised in Brisbane, Dr Truong spent some time working in Stafford before joining a private practice in Graceville in 2010. After providing dental services to the local community for over a decade, she opened Chelmer Dental in partnership with her husband Dr Greg Waters in December 2020.
Dr Truong very much feels a part of this wonderful community and loves walking her two long-haired dachshunds (Schnitzel and Clover) along the iconic Honour Avenue and catching up with the locals. Her hobbies include reading, guitar, skiing, star-gazing, Zumba and ballet. She also enjoys maintaining her tropical fish tank, in which she currently has a colourful collection of guppies, swordtails and balloon mollies.
In May 2020, Dr Truong and Dr Waters welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Juliet. Being a new mum has been quite an adventure and she is learning something new everyday!
Dr Truong is pleased to be back in the world of dentistry and is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADAQ) and the Australian Society of Endodontology (ASE).
Her spoken languages are English and Vietnamese.
